Enrolments at Daisy Lane

At Daisy Lane Early Learning, we've designed our enrolment process to be simple, transparent, and supportive.

Here's what to expect as you join our community.

Enquire & Book a Tour

Start your journey by getting in touch with us. We’ll invite you to book a tour, where you can meet our educators, explore our spaces, and experience our warm, nurturing environment. During your visit, we’ll chat about your child’s needs, your family’s routine, and answer any questions you may have.

Apply for Child Care Subsidy

Before your child starts, register for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) through myGov/Centrelink to access fee support. Be sure to get your child’s CRN and lodge your claim with Services Australia at least 28 days before their start date for maximum backdating.

Orientation & Stay-and-Play Sessions

We understand that starting care is a significant transition for both children and families. We recommend a minimum of two Stay & Play sessions to help your child settle comfortably. Our centre manager will contact you to book these.

Your Child's First Day!

The big day has arrived! Our caring educators will welcome your child with open arms, ready to support them through their first day and beyond. We maintain open communication throughout the settling-in period, keeping you informed of your child's experiences and encouraging you to call, email, or visit whenever you need reassurance.

Important: Your child must physically attend on their first booked day to ensure CCS payments commence. Absences before the first attended session are not covered by the subsidy.

How we support our new starters

We carefully observe each child’s development, social skills, independence, and readiness for new challenges, with transitions based on readiness rather than age alone.

Your input is essential, and we work with you to create a personalised transition plan that supports your child’s needs and your family’s preferences.

Throughout the process, we maintain open communication, keeping you updated on progress, celebrating milestones, and working together to support a smooth transition.

After transitioning, we continue settling-in support by closely monitoring your child’s adjustment and providing additional reassurance as needed. Our educators will work with you to ensure your child feels confident, comfortable, and supported in their new environment.

Transition to Primary School

Preparing children for their next big adventure is one of our greatest joys. Our kindergarten program is specifically designed to ensure children feel confident, capable, and excited about starting school.

School Readiness Programme

Our approved kindergarten curriculum focuses on developing essential school readiness skills, including early literacy, numeracy, social competence, emotional regulation, and independence in self-care.

School Visit Preparation

We support families in preparing for school visits and orientation days, discussing what to expect and helping children understand the exciting changes ahead whilst maintaining their sense of security.

Qualified Teachers

Our kindergarten programme is delivered by qualified early childhood teachers who understand the Australian Curriculum and work closely with local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition.

Ongoing Connections

Even after children transition to school, they remain part of our Daisy Lane family. Many visit during school holidays to reconnect with their favourite educators and share their school experiences with us.

At Daisy Lane Early Learning Drewvale, big connections meet big heart. Our experienced team of long-standing educators creates lasting relationships with families, offering personalised early learning programs from nursery through free kindergarten.
